Happy New Year!

First of all .. Happy New Year to you all .. I wish everyone a good baking year!

The first day of the year was also the first anniversary of Be Sweetli.
Looking back on all the courses that I did and sweets that I made, I am very pleased with the goals that I have achieved and receiving a great feedback.

This year I want to bake more (carved) cakes and confections and work more on this blog. 
Therefore I think it's very important to invest in a more powerful camera .. and also in a larger oven.

I do not know if you saw this guy below here.


He was the center of attention at Christmas around here
A Santa Claus carved cake completely edible from head to toe .. I followed the workshop with Vera Madeira in São Paulo, Brazil.



I loved the course and I am more excited to make more carved cakes.. but as I'm now on holidays in Brazil and without my materials here I have to wait to return to The Netherlands to continue working on it.


I am having a great time here with my family.. but I can not deny that my head is full of ideas concerning the next steps that I want to take.

So let´s get to work! ..and have a nice 2012!
